4.5 questions
Four and a half questions on my mind right now: 1/ Is the network brand becoming irrelevant? When you ask someone what network Law & Order is on, what do they say? My9, NBC, TNT? If that is the case, are the brands bigger than the shows? Are shows bigger than the brands? Can a brand be successful riding shotgun to its shows? 2/ Who has the best original programming strategy and why? Bravo,...
Fw: Online Publishing Insider: Q&A With Guy...
Let’s see if this even sends right. It will probably just make my email available to the world and I will receive a deluge of spam. Segue. Think about the idea that if you make yourself available to any open social result you can gain a modicum of privacy. In the attached article- again, who knows at this point if Tumblr will organize it in any meaningful way- what I like about Guy Kawasaki...

Why? Because I think this is the first article about the changing face of media that I have actually enjoyed. It isn't some Back To The Future rendition of a whole newly changed world where Nike's lace themselves and Newspapers are carried around digitally refreshing themselves, but rather an honest look at the growth, not complete paradigm shift of reporting. Sometimes baby's gotta grow up, get a job, and make an honest day's pay, and that is what digital news is trying to do.

f5 Festival, Coming to A New York Near You
Five good reasons to go to f5:
1/ Justin Cone is an asshole. Kidding. He is a great dude, and f5’s dedication to creativity is rarely seen.
2/ This thing is going to have more enlightening discussion than a French Salon led by Madame Louise d’Épinay. Side note, when you are here, go to Sala if you are anywhere around the Flatiron. Meaty AND salty with a 2-for-1 happy hour. The...
